Total Solar Eclipse in Spain 2027

Private Eclipse Experience in Andalusia · August 2, 2027

On August 2, 2027, southern Spain will become the only part of Europe located within the path of totality of one of the most remarkable astronomical events of the decade: the 2027 total solar eclipse.

After experiencing the extraordinary 2026 solar eclipse in Mallorca with my guests, I am now preparing a very limited number of private eclipse experiences in southern Spain, working with trusted local partners and carefully selected locations across Cádiz, Málaga, the Strait of Gibraltar area and Ceuta.

The idea is simple: not just to watch the eclipse, but to make the whole day unforgettable.

2027 Total Solar
Eclipse in Southern Spain

Explore the Path of Totality Across Andalusia

The path of totality will cross southern Spain, including much of Cádiz, part of Málaga, southern areas of Granada and Almería, as well as Ceuta and Melilla.

This makes Andalusia and the Strait of Gibraltar one of the most exciting destinations for travellers planning to experience the 2027 solar eclipse in Spain.

Rather than committing to one fixed viewing point too early, we will carefully assess the best available location according to weather forecasts, accessibility, local conditions and the precise eclipse path as the date approaches.

Private transport, flexibility and local knowledge will be essential.

  • Carefully selected eclipse viewing location

  • Optional private experiences before or after the event

Everything will be personally arranged in collaboration with trusted local partners.

More Than Watching the Eclipse

This is not designed as a large organised eclipse tour.

The eclipse will be the centre of the day, but not the whole experience.

After totality, we slow things down.

  • Good food.

  • A beautiful setting.

  • Local atmosphere.

  • And time to enjoy one of those rare moments that stay with you for a lifetime.

Just as I do in Mallorca, the focus will be on creating something personal, relaxed and carefully organised rather than a standard packaged excursion.

Where to See the 2027 Solar Eclipse in Spain

We are currently studying several areas in southern Spain, including:

Cádiz · Málaga · Strait of Gibraltar · Ceuta

Each location offers different advantages.

Cádiz and Málaga are both within the path of totality, while Ceuta will experience the longest period of totality in Spain, lasting approximately 4 minutes and 48 seconds.

The Strait of Gibraltar and southern Cádiz are also particularly interesting areas because of their location within the eclipse path, but the final viewing point will always be selected according to the best available conditions closer to the date.
